1958 Fender Loaded Precision Bass Body w/a 1968 Telecaster Bass Neck - Candy Apple Red Refin

 Product Description

Pull up a beer as it's going to take a minute to describe this great bass...

Lets start with the components
* The neck is an all original August 1968 neck - This includes the frets, finish, logo and is a PERFECT playing, issue free neck.

* The body is an original 1958 body that was refinned and the wear was 'helped along'.  The finish itself is quite nice and if you like the vibe, you'll love the bass.  On the body is the original thin slotted bridge, Original black bobbin pickups, Original 1958 pots (137825) - this was before the 7 digit standard (137 = CTS, 8 = 1958, 25 = Week) so 25th week of 58.  The knobs are original, the 36xxx neck plate is original.

* The only repro parts are the guard which is a Fender reissue that we dulled down a bit to match the patina of the body.  When we got this it had a 60s style guard so there are 2 extra screw holes under the guard from the other incorrect guard.  She also has a Fender / G&G Brown reissue case.

This bass plays INSANE and I mean absolutely INSANE.  The tone is really neat - You know what a 58 is supposed to sound like.  Add the additional girth of the Tele neck and you get a slightly more focused tone with a little less blur but it still keeps the personality of the bass.

I'll tell ya, I just used this bass at practice thru a Blue Line V4B and a Steward / Demiter rig.  This bass just kills.
