Nothing but good positive detail on this bass – Want a great bass, here it is. The 1964 body refin was done SUPER PRO and a while ago. It looks right! The neck is an ALL ORIGINAL 1968 Telecaster Bass neck that other than a brass nut, its how it left Fender. The neck is stamped Aug 68 and is LASER BEAM straight. The body is an absolute no guess work 1964 Fender Jazz Bass. We bought the bass complete but the headstock was sheared off. The pick ups are ORIGINAL WIND 1964 units with changed leads (The leads were snipped and attached to garbage pots when we got the bass). The bridge is 1964, the tuners are 1968 and were mated to the neck. The repro parts are the guard (new), knobs (70s) and the harness which we paid a fortune for as its SUPER HIGHEND modern build with the best components (the cap was like 15.00). The control plate is new Fender. The neck plate we had fun with – we had an exact forgery made of an F-plate but put 7 digits on it.. Its F1… The tone – Well we’ve built a number of TeleJazzsters and this bass is NUTS. The action is crazy low and the bass plays insane. The tone is dark and barky from the extra heft in the neck. The bass has a great Jazz Bassy low end but more of it and the maple, well you get a singy high end like no other. I’m gonna use this 8.7 pound best until it sells. Has a new Fender GB.
