The Truth – Played to death and plays like no other. This bass, wow, its special. Heres the story. 20 years ago when I owned my old firm, I had an item on my want list of when I find the best Jazz Bass ever to give this client a call. Well, here it is. The bass was sold to my now business partner Ben. It was the 1st bass I sold him and we literally became like brothers after this. Fast forward to 2019, well Uncle Kebo corrupted Ben and now he’s on the search for the best Pbass ever and nope, I’m not selling him mine so it’ll have to be the second best one! This bass is almost untouched. ALL the parts on the bass are untouched- 6621 harness, Apr 66 neck. The bass plays and sounds INSANE.Only faux pas is we know the history of this bass to day 1. We bought this from the original owner in Dallas back in 2000. The bass side of the guard warped on the edge and he used 2 very small screws to flatten it out. We have a picture. F14 serial. We very carefully removed the pickguard screws, the guard has never been off the bass and we did not force it. The bass was purchased new in 1968. As the original owner told me, he got a deal because it was sitting for 2 years because everyone wanted the block neck. The case is a 68ish no tail logo / no triangle pad case. I was told this was the case when the bass was purchased. The bass was gigged 4 to 5 nights a week from Dallas to Jacksonville from 1968 to 1998 and looks it. The bass wore nothing but flats that whole time. Now set up with rounds. This bass is NUTS with a know history to day 1. Want the best, here it is.
