1966 Fender Precision / Bluesman Vintage

 Product Description

Pull up a beer, this is going to take a minute to describe this GREAT bass. What is this bass – We bought a 1966 Fender Precision that had the body all sorts of modified but most if not all the parts were there. We needed a body and my friend John at Bluesman Vintage made us a absolute stunner.  The body has a neck pocket that will hold the neck without string on it and without screws.  The pocket is PERFECT.  The shoreline gold aged finish is stunning and the relicing matches the original neck.   The neck is an original neck, with the orig finish and logo and most likely the frets. The neck is worn in naturally like an old pair of jeans and the action is to die for. Yes the frets and rod are just fine.  The head stock has the expected e-tuner split in the usual spot and has been glued and stable for ever.  July 66 date is clear and intact. She sports a brass nut for good measure and an aged set of Fender reissue tuners with the original 66 ferrules.  The pickups are ORIGINAL with lead extensions by the pots. The original pots and cap are in the gigbag pocket and are clean and functioning. The bridge is original and may be off of a 64 or 65 (or it was left in the barrel).  The 165xxx plate is orig.  The knobs maybe later, were not positive and the guard is new.

So to summarize – the neck, pickups, pots on the side, bridge, neck plate, ferrules are orig

The body is Bluesman Vintage, the guard and tuners are new

Lets to the analysis – A used Roger bass is 4k, a used Mike bass is 3k – You’re getting the NECK, You’re getting the electronics, You’re getting most of the orig parts.  We think this stunner is a solid value.

Has a nice brand new GB.
