We have in a terrific 1973 4000 in the best color, Fireglo! The bass is original with the exception of the mute assembly. 8.2 pounds of killer bass. This bass shows wear and patina and moderate pitting to the missing tooth bridge. The neck is straight, the rods are good as are the frets. The truss rod cavity had the wood mildly scooped to access the rod nuts done long time ago. Seems more basses have this than not. The neck plays fast with low (but not super low) action – there is no issue its just the nature of the glued in neck beast. The bass has the OHSC (blue liner). Terrific bass with great tone.
