Ovation Magnum I Mahoganyburst Late 1970s

This bass plays and sounds GREAT and shows all over sympathetic wear and patina.  9.4 lbs and an OHSC.  In all honesty, this is one of my favorite basses from the 70s and this is an extremely good variant.  Only thing to point out is these basses have the same challenge Fender basses of the era had.  The Fender basses had a split at the e-string tuner screw.  The Ovation has the Schaller tuner that has 4 little posts and the post in the same position as the Fender screw develops a small split.  This bass has the small split.  Its clean and small, and typical..
