1978 Fender Precision Bass 1978 / 1980 - with 1974 Dated Pickups - Sunburst

We have a nice 1-owner bass that shows careful use and pride of ownership. By far this is not a couch queen. This is a 45 year old bass that has been carefully gigged. She shows simple wear and age and player patina. Just set up with fresh strings and a level/dress and crown/polish to the frets. Truss rod is a-ok and issue free. 9 lbs 14 oz.

The components, well a million years ago, the stock pickups were swapped for a set of 1974, no-doubt dated pickups. We just sent them to Bluesman Vintage for a rewind. One bobbin was intermittent so we had both done just incase. All components are original. The bass was late assembled and has 1980 pots. As you know alot of 1977, 78 and 79 instruments from Fender have 1980 or 81 pots. We received the bass with a garbage case. We replaced this case with a real-deal mid 70s, Fender Tolex lefty case. It should be way easy to swap a lefty for a righty case. We can substitute a generic case or gigbag if requested.

This is a nice bass that plays well and sounds awesome. No monkey business, no stories and no by-the-ways.
