1 owner for the past 30 plus years and this bass was used and gigged. Wild story behind this is I sold this bass to him back in the day as the enclosed invoice is from the shop I worked at and I wrote the sales slip.
I like this bass. Plays and sounds really good and clean enough to impress your friends, worn in enough that you can gig it. Untouched 7821 electronics with the choke cap in place. The output levels are balanced. Look at the picks of the rods - they were never touched! The saddles were never slotted or ground out and the action is real nice and can still be lowered. Life long wearer of flats, RL (Dec 1978) serial, Orig hard case w/blue lining. She has strap locks, the bridge has the bare minimal lift - its negligible. A tuner gear screw was replaced. has a couple of small chips in the neck - no biggie but theyre there as typical w/Ric basses. I've included 2 pics from each side of the fret board by the nut. This is not a fretboard lift or split - was never glued and doesnt need to be. It just looks like natural adjustment of the wood on the seam lifted the paint. Its barely tactile.
We describe everything so there are no surprises. Does not have the bridge pickup cover. This is a good honest bass, nice action and can go lower, looks awesome.
