Here's the good news - The bass has a really good, issue free neck and the electronics work perfectly. Rod, frets, relief all pots, switch all work fine. Looking at the bass straight on, she looks good. Has a gigbag, 9.7 lbs, 8/10/05 build date. Bass is not hacked or boogered.
Here's the bad news and please see the pics - The bass is like a supermodel with a giant scar. There was a deep scratch on the side thats long. There are 2 deep scratches on the back by the battery box and by the bottom. How it got there, we have no clue. In 50 years in the biz, I've never seen this. On stage, no one is going to see this other than the tops of your shoes and your belt buckle. What we did was fill the scratch and painted over it using Ford Cobra blue to hide this best we can - There is no touch up of any kind for this. Essentially, we lessened the impact but certainly not pro done BUT its far from a mess. We also filled an edge chip. The face is fairly clean other than some stable checks by the controls.
Soooooo what we have here is an AMERICAN, premium EBMM bass that plays and sounds good but has the scars. Priced to move. For a pro player this is a USA bass at an Indo price.
