I know what you're saying - Capable bass but plays like crap. Correct BUT we worked our luthier magic and have the bass playing quite well. We properly notched the bridge, recut the nut, set the truss rod, restrung, etc. This one had an easy life as the plastic is still on the pickups and tuner backs. We cleaned up the excess glue and buffed out the finish which is pretty darn nice. She has a scrape on the edge (see last 2 pics) and patina that has been there since new.
For under a grand, you're getting a decent, cool, pro-level bass. If you bought the real thing, you're over 10k. For the few songs or set or 2, this bass is a party, 8.2 lbs, has a nice new gigbag.
